St Patrick’s Day Celebration at The Old Market House
The Old Market House was filled with music, colour, and community spirit during the 2025 St Patrick’s Day celebrations, as part of the Eastside Lives project. The event brought people together to celebrate local heritage through traditional music, crafts, and storytelling in the heart of Bangor.
Funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, the project highlights the stories, traditions, and cultural heritage that shape our communities. Visitors enjoyed a lively afternoon of harp music, traditional tunes, delicious food, and hands-on crafts, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all ages.
The beautiful sounds of the harp echoed through the historic building while families and friends gathered to take part in craft activities and share in the celebration. The event reflected the spirit of Saint Patrick’s Day — bringing people together to celebrate Irish culture, creativity, and community.
