Summer Scheme 2024 Kicks Off to a Great Start!
The Kilcooley Annual Summer Scheme has commenced with an incredible start! This week has been packed with fun, laughter, and adventure as the children explored some fantastic venues and made new friends along the way.
Exciting Venues:
Ulster Folk Museum: An immersive trip to the Ulster Folk Museum, where the kids stepped back in time to explore the rich history and heritage of Northern Ireland. The interactive exhibits and engaging activities had everyone fascinated and eager to learn.
Delamont Country Park: We ventured to Delamont Country Park, where the great outdoors provided the perfect backdrop for a day of fun and games. From nature trails to team-building activities, the park offered endless opportunities for adventure and exploration including the popular train ride ! Our visit ended with a trip to the ice cream van for a special treat.
Airtastic: Summer Scheme would not be complete without a visit to Airtastic, where bouncing on trampolines, navigating obstacle courses, and enjoying the games kept everyone entertained. The energy and excitement were contagious, making it a memorable day for all.
Building Confidence and Self-Esteem:
Our summer scheme is designed to offer more than just fun outings. Through these activities, we aim to build confidence and self-esteem in every child. By trying new things, making new friends, and stepping out of their comfort zones, overcoming anxiety and challenges some of the children face, the children are developing valuable skills and creating lasting memories.
Lunch and Fun:
We ensure that everyone stays energized with delicious lunches provided each day. These shared meals not only keep the kids fueled for their activities but also offered a chance to bond and form new friendships. The camaraderie and laughter around the lunch tables were heartwarming to see.
A Fantastic Start:
The first week of our summer scheme has set the tone for some incredible weeks ahead. We are excited to continue this journey with more exciting trips, activities, and opportunities for growth and fun.
