Eastside Lives Bangor: Clifton House, North Belfast
Thursday 16th January, 10.00am pick up from The Old Market House, 77 Main Street, Bangor.
Now marking its 250th Anniversary, this beautiful 1774 Georgian building in the heart of Belfast was built by Belfast Charitable Society who still run it today. It was the original Poor House in Belfast and for over a century it was used as a nursing home and hospital for older people. Today, its is home to a heritage centre alongside a residential home and sheltered accommodation apartments.
Our visit will include a guided tour of the building – please be aware the tour will include several sets of steps with no lift access.
