Discover Heritage: Research Skills

Tuesday 7th and 14th January 2025, 2-4pm, The Old Market House, 77 Main Street Bangor

Are you interested in finding out more about your area, your family history, your local community or a particular historical subject?
Delivered in association with PRONI (Public Records Office NI) our Discover Heritage programme will introduce you to some of the basic tools, skills and resources that might be of help for your own heritage project.

These two sessions will give you an introduction into how to carry out research – where to start, where to look and how to keep a record of what you discover. These sessions are being delivered with the assistance of Public Records Office NI (PRONI) and the session on 7th January will take the form of a trip to PRONI for some hands on research.

Transport will be provided from The Old Market House to PRONI and back, leaving Bangor at c1.15pm and returning for c4.45pm.
