We will soon be welcoming the public and our service users to the Queen Bee Community Cafe, where every cup of coffee comes with a side of social impact. Situated in the heart of Kilcooley, our cafe isn’t just a place to grab a bite to eat; it’s a hive of activity dedicated to empowering individuals and enriching our community.
Queen Bee operates as a social enterprise training facility and catering hub for Kilcooley Women’s Centre, with support from the NI Housing Executive Social Enterprise Programme. Our mission goes beyond serving delicious snacks and beverages; we’re committed to providing opportunities for people to thrive.
Training Facility and Catering Hub:
At Queen Bee, we believe in the transformative power of education and skills development. Through our training programs, we equip individuals with the knowledge and expertise they need to succeed in the hospitality industry. From barista training, food hygiene to culinary skills, we offer hands-on learning experiences that prepare participants for employment opportunities.
But our impact extends beyond the walls of our cafe. As a catering hub, we provide catering services for our in-house events, meetings, and functions, generating revenue that directly supports our training programs and community initiatives. Supporting Employment and Volunteering:
