SWIRL launch

Launch of the National lottery funded SWIRL project

Welcome to the official launch of the SWIRL project – an exciting initiative set to transform the lives of women in our borough over the next three years. Thanks to generous funding from the National Lottery, this ground breaking project promises a wealth of opportunities and activities designed to empower and uplift women from all walks of life.

On International Women’s Day, the SWIRL project was officially unveiled by Lesley from the National Lottery, marking the beginning of a transformative journey towards gender equality and empowerment. With Lesley’s inspiring words as a catalyst, the project is determined to make a lasting impact on our community.

At the heart of the SWIRL project lies a commitment to providing women with a diverse range of opportunities for personal and professional growth. From comprehensive Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses to holistic wellbeing initiatives, the project aims to equip women with the skills, knowledge, and resources they need to thrive in today’s world.

But the SWIRL project is more than just a series of programs – it’s a platform for women to actively engage with and contribute to their communities. Through volunteering opportunities, women will have the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others while making meaningful connections and friendships along the way.

Recognizing the unique challenges faced by migrant women, the SWIRL project will also offer tailored programs and support services to facilitate their integration  within our community.

Additionally, the SWIRL project will establish a dynamic women’s networking group, providing a space for women to connect, collaborate, and inspire one another. Through shared experiences and collective action, this network will serve as a powerful catalyst for positive change and innovation.
