Empowering Women in the Hair and Beauty Industry: Self-Employment Event!  12 August 2024

We are delighted to announce our annual Women’s Self-Employment Event, specifically tailored for those considering a career in the hair and beauty industry. Hosted by Kilcooley Women’s Centre and the House of Dolls Hair & Beauty Training School  this event will offer invaluable support and inspiration for aspiring self-employed women.

Event Highlights:

1. Go Succeed Team from Ards North Down Borough Council: The Go Succeed team will be providing comprehensive advice and guidance on the GoSucceed scheme which provides funding, mentorship, and training opportunities. Their expertise and guidance are crucial in empowering women to turn their entrepreneurial dreams into reality. Employment coaches will be on hand to offer personalised advice and support, helping attendees navigate the path to self-employment.

2. Engaging Exhibitors: We were pleased to be welcoming leading industry exhibitors, Sally’s Beauty and Capital Beauty, who will join us for the event. They will offer attendees a chance to explore a range of products and services essential for starting and growing a hair and beauty business, get advice on trade accounts and supplies. From the latest beauty products to innovative tools, the exhibitors will provide a wealth of information and resources.

3. Hair and Beauty Demonstrations: The event will feature live demonstrations showcasing the latest trends and techniques in the hair and beauty industry. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals, gaining practical insights and inspiration for their own businesses. These demonstrations will highlight industry standards, offering a glimpse into the skills and creativity required to succeed in the industry.

4. Networking Opportunities: One of the key benefits of the event is the opportunity to connect with like-minded women and industry professionals. Networking sessions allowed attendees to share their experiences, exchange ideas, and build valuable connections. The supportive and collaborative environment fostered a sense of community and encouragement.
