Our St. Patrick’s Day celebration at the Old Market House on Friday the 13th March was a wonderful showcase of local talent, culture, and community spirit. The day came alive with the beautiful harmonies of the Uka-ladies our Ukulele group, led by the fantastic Ray who were followed by the St. Colombanus traditional music group, filling the historic Old Market House venue with authentic Irish melodies. The energy lifted further with spectacular performances from a local Irish dancers while Bangor Gaeltech added a rich layer of cultural heritage to the proceedings with information on classes, and their ‘have a go’ station, where everyone could have a go at beginners Irish phrases.

Elaine Munn led sessions on traditional crafts, everyone enjoyed generous helpings of food and refreshments, and soaked in the warm, welcoming atmosphere. It was a true celebration of community, bringing people together to mark St Patricks Day 2026 in style !
