Kilcooley WC have joined with a number of other community organisations across Northern Ireland as part of the Arts Council NI’s Arts and Older Peoples programme, The Belfast Trust and Groundwork NI for a community arts programme to engage older people in the arts.
Project is delivered over 4 sessions, held on Monday afternoons at 1 Kilcooley SquareTime: 1pm – 3pm
Dates : 20th April, 27th April, 11th May, 18th May 2026
Led by artist Lesley Cherry, we will be delivering 4 workshops in April and May 2026, no artistic skills are needed, simply sign up, come along, meet new and old friends, and learn some new skills. At the end of the project the groups will be getting together with Groundwork, who are hosting URBAN JUNGLE – a music and art get together at the Oh Yeah Music Centre on Tuesday 23rd June from 11am to 1pm
At the event we will have live music from the OTH Band, playing tunes from the 1940s right up to the 1970s, and we will be exhibiting artworks made by groups from Kilcooley, Shore Road, New Lodge and Knocknagoney Seniors Clubs.
Tea, coffee and light refreshments will be served. This is a free event, but we ask that you email the event organiser to book a space and to let them know you are coming!!
